"World Lupus Day - The Joy of Living Concert on 10th May 2012"

Thursday 10th May (World Lupus Day) we will be holding 'the Joy of Living Concert' at the lovely Guys Chapel, Guys Hospital from 7pm.

This will be a really fun, uplifting concert with all our favourite performers from over the years. It will hopefully take our minds off illness and all the other worries we all have and remind us of the lovely happy things in life.

"St. Thomas' Lupus Trust Annual Christmas Concerts"

Our Christmas Concert is held on the first Thursday in December at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey.  A host of very talented people entertained us over the years.  The celebrity readers have included: actors Chris Simmons (DC Mickey Webb, the Bill) Alex Walkinshaw (Sgt Dale Smith, the Bill), Melanie Hill (Bread, the Bill, Emmerdale) and Kate Adie. Julian Lennon and James Scott Cook support lupus

Julian Lennon, son of the legendary John Lennon and James Scott Cook have donated a portion of the proceeds from their new song, "LUCY," to fund research into lupus. The funds are being divided between the St. Thomas Lupus Trust and the Lupus Foundation of America Inc.

"Antartica Expedition"

The following photographs were taken by photographer Ben Cowlin. Ben's sister Emma had lupus and sadly died died at the young age of 30. Ben wanted to take the photographs to help raise awareness.

"The Queens Butterfly"

The Patrons, Trustees, patients and staff of the St Thomas' Lupus Trust and the Louise Coote Lupus Unit presented a Butterfly Christmas tree ornament to Lady Elizabeth Anson who gave it to Her Majesty the Queen on their behalf. Lady Elizabeth is a Patron of the trust and the Queen's cousin. The butterfly was specially designed by the celebrity milliner & Lupus Trust Patron, Louis Mariette.
