UK newspapers feature "Strings for Lupus"!
Coldplay and the Rolling Stones are among bands backing a charity drive to beat Lupus. A line-up of artists have donated their guitar strings to raise funds for the St Thomas’ Lupus Trust.
The organisation has teamed up with a jeweller to make unisex bangles from the strings, donated by Keith Richards, Paul McCartney, Coldplay and ex-Genesis strummer Steve Hackett. The first eBay auction in aid of the charity begins on March 14.
BRIAN May, Coldplay and the Rolling Stones are backing a charity campaign to help cure a rare immune system disease. A line-up of rockers, including the Queen star, have donated their guitar strings to raise funds for the St Thomas Lupus Trust.
The charity has teamed up with a jeweller to make unisex bangles from the strings. Stones’ strummer Keith Richards has donated strings he used on the band’s new album. Sir Paul McCartney and Steve Hackett of Genesis have handed over the same. Coldplay have offered kit from their Viva La Vida album. The first eBay auction in aid of the charity begins on March 15.
