The St Thomas' Lupus Trust Bollywood Ball took place in spectacular style at the Palace Pavilion, Kew Gardens - in the most stunning setting next to the lake. The vast majority of the 400 guests did us proud with an array of fabulous 'Bollywood' outfits and all said they enjoyed having the chance to really dress up! We even had a film crew from the Indonesian version of 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' filming the event and a tv crew from Zee TV who beamed the event round the world. Chris Tarrant's equivalent, presenter Dian Sastro also attended.

The celebrities were out in force as you can see from the photographs and we even had some surprises such as Kelle Bryan doing an impromptu performance of one of her big hits when she was with Eternal, 'Only one'. Alex Walkinshaw ('Smiffy' of the Bill) surprised the guests by auctioning off a West Ham football for £350, he did such a good job several people approached him to be auctioneer at their events!

A big vote of thanks to all the celebrities, Master of Ceremonies Nitin Ganatra, entertainers, DJ's, guests, donors, sponsors, volunteers - especially Barclays staff and Harpreet who ran round with Campaign Director Angie all night (Angie said she was a complete 'Godsend'!), Café Lazeez for fantastic food (the cast of the Bill said it was the best Indian food they'd ever tasted) and especially to the Ball Committee: Aneal Advani, Natascha Hall, Louis Mariette, Marion Parsley, Gill Roberts, Harbinder Singh, Reena Spencer and all their families & friends that also supported the Ball so enthusiastically!

We are pleased to say that we  raised in excess of £32,000. We have a dvd of the event which lasts approximately 30 minutes and captures guests arriving, the entertainment, auction and celebrities (even Kelle & Alex's impromptu performances!). The dvd costs £7 (inc p&p) with profits going to the St Thomas' Lupus Trust.
